Jake Bauers With Winning Homer Sunday Versus Yankees
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Jake Bauers came up big in the clutch Sunday versus New York. In the bottom of the 12th inning, Bauers stepped up in a tie game with no one on the bases and ended the game with a solo HR. He would reach twice in the game as his OBP moves to .389 while also scoring twice. The only one of the five traditional hitting categories he hasn't made an impact is steals. Bauers had five home runs and 10 steals at Triple-A this season, so there is some speed to work with. Bauers was one of the top Rays prospects and is an interesting buy in dynasty leagues. In terms of redraft formats, Bauers is a deeper or AL-only type asset for now.
