Jake Bauers On The Pine Saturday
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Jake Bauers is not in the starting lineup in a National League park without the designated hitter on Saturday. Bauers is hitting just .100 (2-for-20) with seven strikeouts and two RBI in July, and the top prospect isn't showing much power at the major league level. He's probably only worth owning in AL-only and dynasty leagues right now. C.J. Cron is starting at first base and batting fifth against Mets lefty Steven Matz. Cron is batting .270 with five of his 16 home runs against southpaws this year and makes for a decent low-priced power option in DFS.
