Jake Bauers Joins Triple-A Club
1 year agoNew York Yankees outfielder Jake Bauers (shoulder) joined Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday as he continues to work back from a left rotator-cuff contusion. The 27-year-old plans to work out in the team's facility for a couple of days before he starts a rehab assignment on Friday. Before his injury in early July, Bauers was putting up his best offensive campaign, slashing .224/.312/.470 with seven homers, 18 runs, 19 RBI, and two steals over 49 games. Still, fantasy managers should only stash the former seventh-round selection in deeper formats, as he likely won't be back until August.
