Jake Arrieta Struggles Again Against Washington
6 years agoFor the second consecutive time, Philadelphia Phillies starter Jake Arrieta struggled on the mound at Citizens Bank Park against the Washington Nationals. The 32-year-old lasted just three innings, walking three, giving up four hits and surrendering four runs. His worst inning was the third, as he allowed a pair of two-run home runs. This was the third start of the month in which Arrieta allowed four runs or more. With the Phillies struggling to remain within striking distance of the Atlanta Braves, Arrieta will be pivotal heading into the final month of the regular season.
