Jake Arrieta Demolished In Milwaukee
6 years agoFormer NL Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta’s ugly June took another nasty turn Friday night in Milwaukee against the first-place Brewers. The 32-year-old was failed by his defense, with three errors resulting in four unearned runs. Aside from those, Arrieta lasted only 3 2/3 innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits and two walks. The blowout was well on when he was pulled, with Milwaukee ultimately winning by 11 runs. His record is now at 5-5, while his abysmal three starts so far this month have resulted in three consecutive defeats and a 7.15 ERA. His next start is scheduled for Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
