Jake Allen's Awful Start To The Season Continues
6 years agoSt. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen was pulled on Thursday after giving up four goals on 21 shots against the Columbus Blue Jackets. His replacement, Chad Johnson, surrendered three goals on 11 shots. Allen has been downright brutal to start the 2018-19 campaign. He has a 2-2-3 record with a 3.93 goals-against average and a .876 save percentage. Allen also struggled mightily during last season, and it is clear that the offseason did not solve his woes. The saving grace for Allen is that Johnson has been awful too. Whichever goalie ends up getting hot will likely be the starter which makes Allen, and this goaltending platoon, a situation to avoid in fantasy.
