Jake Allen Faces Calgary In 10th Start
4 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen will pick up his 10th start of the season in Thursday's meeting with the Flames. He's looking to avenge a 2-0 defeat he suffered against Calgary on Jan. 29. The 30-year-old has been a solid backup option for the Canadiens this season with a 4-2-3 record, a 2.31 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. He takes on a team that has registered only three wins in their last 11 outings, so Allen, who has suffered three straight overtime losses, is nicely placed to record his fifth win of the year.
