Jaison Chourio Hits First Home Run Of High-A Regular Season
36 seconds agoCleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio went 1-for-2 with a home run and two walks during their contest on Tuesday against High-A Great Lakes. After a strong season with Low-A last summer, Chourio was able to open the 2025 season with High-A. Through his first 14 games at this level, the 19-year-old has held a .240/.406/.320 slash line with just two extra-base hits. However, he has held an elite 15:14 K:BB and swiped three bags. Over his previous nine games, Chourio has posted a strong .281/.452/.406 line and appears to have begun to turn the corner. Last summer at Low-A, the No. 57-ranked prospect in the sport, posted a .269/.414/.398 line. Even though he is several years away from his MLB debut, he is developing into one of the sport's top prospects.
