Jairo Solis Undergoes Elbow Surgery Friday
4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Jairo Solis (elbow) underwent surgery on Friday to remove loose bodies in his elbow, according to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. The No. 3 pitching prospect in Houston's system according to MLB Pipeline, Solis is expected to miss three months while recovering from surgery. In 50 2/3 innings at Single-A in 2019, Solis posted a 3.55 ERA with a 22.7 percent strikeout rate. Solis was unlikely to make an impact in fantasy this season before the surgery, but now it seems fairly certain managers will have to wait until 2022 at the earliest to see fantasy production out of him. Managers in dynasty leagues though should continue to keep him rostered.
