Jaire Alexander Dealing With Torn PCL, No Timetable For A Return
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) said on Thursday that he's dealing with a torn PCL that he suffered in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8. Alexander missed the Week 9 game against the Detroit Lions. The Packers had their bye in Week 10, and Alexander played just 10 defensive snaps in last week's win over the Chicago Bears before leaving the game and not returning. He's hoping to return to the All-Pro form he had in 2020 and 2022 but doesn't know exactly when he might be back with the team. Alexander did say, though, that "I just need more than 21 days of non-contact." The veteran defensive back has missed 27 of a potential 61 regular-season games since the start of 2021, with 26 of them coming due to injury. Alexander can still be an elite corner when healthy, but Green Bay's secondary will be more vulnerable in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers.
