6 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels optioned starting pitcher Jaime Barria to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday and recalled pitcher John Curtiss from Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Barria heads back to the minors after allowing 10 hits and seven runs in just 1 1/3 innings against the Royals on Saturday. The right-hander has an 8.16 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 10 K's in 14 1/3 innings in four outings (one start) for the Halos this year. He was decent in 2018 when he was in the rotation, but he doesn't strike out many and has a low fantasy ceiling. Barria will likely make more starts for the Angels at some point this season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
