7 years agoLos Angeles Angels right-handed rookie Jaime Barria had another outstanding start, this time shutting out the Rockies at Coors Field across 5 1/3 innings. He gave up five hits, walked one and struck out seven. The 21-year-old now has a 2.45 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP on the year, with 13 strikeouts. It's unclear if he will stick in the rotation once Matt Shoemaker is healthy, but at this point it would be hard to justify not giving him a rotation spot. If he secures a spot, he's worth an add in deeper formats and is a viable streaming option in all formats.--patton
