1 year agoJailton Almeida improved to 20-2 as a pro and 6-0 in the UFC with a one-sided decision win over Derrick Lewis at UFC Sao Paulo. Almeida went 6-of-15 on takedowns in the fight, but when he did get Lewis down, he was able to keep him there. The Brazilian finished the fight with 21:10 of control time in the 25-minute fight. Almeida also outstruck Lewis 120-to-28 as he won every single round on all three judges' scorecards. It wasn't the most exciting fight, but with the win, Almeida could very well get a top-five opponent next time out.--Cole Shelton
