Jahmyr Gibbs Could Be In Line For Big Workload
1 year agoDetroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs handled 18 touches last week in the absence of David Montgomery (thigh). He turned 17 carries into 80 yards and one reception into two yards. It wasn't a massive fantasy performance, but it was promising to see him operate as a workhorse, despite speculation that Craig Reynolds could eat into his workload significantly. If Montgomery, who is questionable against the Green Packers, misses Week 4, Gibbs is a must-start in all formats based on his projected touch total. The Packers have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to running back thus far, so Gibbs would have RB1 upside. If Montgomery plays and sees a normal workload, Gibbs becomes a risky flex option once again.
