Jahmyr Gibbs Could Function As The Primary Downfield Receiving Threat
1 year agoDetroit Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs could be used as the team's primary downfield pass-catching threat early this season, according to Tim Twentyman of Lions.com. Detroit is without Jameson Williams (suspension) and DJ Chark Jr. is now in Carolina, leaving a hole for vertical threats. Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson recently noted that "vertical threats don't have to be receivers so that's one thing to watch out for with Gibbs." Expect to see the rookie used all over the field on Thursday night. He should be in fantasy lineups across the board.
