Jaguars Sign JaMycal Hasty To Extension
2 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars signed running back JaMycal Hasty to an undisclosed contract extension on Sunday. Hasty was set to become a restricted free agent in March at the start of the new league year. He was acquired just before the 2022 season and finished last year with 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 46 carries while catching 20 passes for 126 yards and one more score in the regular season in 17 games. The 26-year-old's role increased when the Jags traded James Robinson to the New York Jets on Oct. 25, and he served as Travis Etienne Jr.'s primary backup the rest of the way. Hasty will face competition from Snoop Conner for the backup role behind Etienne in 2023.
