Jacob Wilson Riding Five-Game Hitting Streak On Rehab Assignment
10 months agoOakland Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson (knee) has performed very well through the first week of his rehab assignment and should be rejoining Triple-A Las Vegas very soon. The top prospect in the Oakland system has tallied at least one hit in each of his five games in the Rookie League, including a four-hit performance on June 22. Wilson made his Triple-A debut on May 8 but was only able to play in six games before hitting the injured list. Through this small sample size, Wilson showcased his elite hitting skills with a .375/.400/.458 slash line. The Grand Canyon University product was selected with the sixth overall pick in last year's MLB Draft and could push for a late-season MLB Debut. He is considered the 53rd-best prospect on MLB.com and should remain stashed in all dynasty leagues.
