Jacob Wilson Promoted To The Major Leagues
3 months agoOakland Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson is being promoted to the major leagues, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com. Wilson has been one of the best hitters in the minor leagues this season, as he has carried an incredible .438/.475/.686 line with seven home runs, 34 RBI, and a 12:14 BB:K ratio across 46 games at Double and Triple-A. The former sixth overall pick in last year's draft opened the campaign with Double-A Midland and needed just 22 games to prove he was ready for the top level of the minor leagues. At Triple-A Las Vegas, the 22-year-old posted a .398/.444/.639 line with four long balls, 12 RBI, and a 7:3 BB:K ratio across 19 games. The infielder is considered the 50th-best prospect in all of baseball on MLB.com and should be added in all leagues as he could provide an immediate impact in the big leagues.
