4 months agoOakland Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson (hamstring) is not in Saturday's lineup. Wilson was removed early from his major league debut on Friday evening after straining his hamstring. The 22-year-old tallied a single in his lone at-bat. Before joining the majors on Friday evening, the former sixth overall pick in last year's draft posted an incredible .398/.444/.639 line in 19 games at Triple-A. As a result, Max Schuemann will cover shortstop and bat ninth. Schuemann went 3-for-4 last night with a double and home run. He has a great opportunity to stay hot at the plate Saturday afternoon as he will face Angels right-hander Jack Kochanowicz, who surrendered seven hits and four earned runs in his last start.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
