Jacob Wilson Batting Eighth In Major-League Debut
4 months agoOakland Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson is playing shortstop and batting eighth in his major league debut on Friday, July 19. Wilson was promoted to the major league roster earlier this afternoon. He was drafted with the sixth overall pick in last year's draft and progressed through the minor leagues very quickly. He began this season at Double-A and needed just 22 games to prove he was ready for the top level of the minor leagues. At Triple-A Las Vegas, the 22-year-old held a stellar .398/.444/.639 slash line with four home runs across 19 games. Wilson is worth a look in DFS this evening as he will face Angels right-hander Griffin Canning who carries a high 4.84 ERA.
