Jacob Stallings Blasts Walk-Off Homer On Saturday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates catcher Jacob Stallings went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, four RBI and a run scored in a 9-7 win over the Mets on Saturday. Stallings walked off the Mets with a grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, as that was his eighth homer of the year. After Saturday's performance, Stallings is now slashing .239/.325/.420 with 40 RBI and 23 runs scored over 68 games. He's a solid catcher to roster in deeper formats and two-catcher leagues, and in a pinch he can be used as a short-term injury replacement in 10- and 12-team formats.
