Jacob Nottingham Gets Two Walks In MLB Debut
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers catcher Jacob Nottingham walked twice in two plate appearances in the 10-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. After the Brewers went down 9-0 in the sixth inning, Jett Bandy was taken out and Nottingham was slotted in the top of the seventh inning as a defensive substitution. Nottingham earned a walk in his first at-bat against Luis Castillo and eventually ended up getting another walk against Raisel Iglesias. There is no better way to impress management than getting two walks in your MLB debut against two star pitchers. Bandy has not impressed after Manny Pina and Stephen Vogt went down with injuries, so we could possibly see Nottingham get some more starts down in the short term. Stay tuned.
