6 years agoVancouver Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom stopped 38 of 40 shots to help give his team a 3-2 shootout victory against the Dallas Stars on Saturday. Not only was Markstrom on top of his game throughout regulation and the entire overtime frame, the 29-year-old stopped all eight shootout attempts against to give his team the full two points. Markstrom's fantasy owners wish he could match up against the Stars more often as the Swedish netminder won both contests and turned aside 92 of 96 shots against (.958 save percentage) in the season series against Dallas. In his second season as the bonafide starter in Vancouver, Markstrom has put together another strong season - posting a 2.76 save percentage and .913 save percentage in 59 starts. He should get the call in net again as his team faces the Sharks on Tuesday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
