Jacob Lopez Set To Start On Sunday
3 months agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitching prospect Jacob Lopez is set to start Sunday's series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Right-hander Shane Baz was scheduled to be on the bump this afternoon for the Rays but was scratched due to an illness. As a result, the No. 16 ranked prospect in the system is being promoted to Triple-A Durham to serve as a spot starter. Lopez has made three appearances in the major leagues this summer and held an 8.44 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP across five innings of work. At Triple-A, Lopez has carried a 3.15 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP across his past 40 innings of work with a 17:51 BB:K ratio. Lopez is best to leave off of your DFS lineup as he will face the high-powered Dodger offense.
