Jacob Hollister Made Hay Last Time Against 49ers
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister was still having his coming-out party last time the team faced off against the 49ers, and he ended up hauling in eight catches for 62 yards and a touchdown against the rivals. Now, the league has tape on him and his utility has been cut. He'll have to put on some fancy moves to get free once again, but if he can, expect him to see plenty of work. Hollister could prove to be the key to Seattle's success, but he's got a tough road ahead of him. San Francisco is one of the stingiest defenses in the league versus opposing tight ends, and they'll be ready for him this time.

Raiders Release Jacob Hollister
3 years agoThe Raiders have released tight end Jacob Hollister with an injury settlement. The veteran, who signed with Vegas back in March, is currently dealing with an undisclosed ailment. He's suited up for the Patriots, Seahawks, and Jaguars throughout his five years in the league, totaling 83 catches for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. It's certainly possible Hollister will find work elsewhere once he gets healthy. However, the 28-year-old isn't expected to be a routine fantasy contributor, no matter where he lands next.

Raiders Agree With Jacob Hollister
3 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders agreed with free-agent tight end Jacob Hollister on an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday, according to a source. Hollister began his career with the New England Patriots, so he'll be reunited with head coach Josh McDaniels. The 28-year-old tight end spent last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and had a disappointing nine receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown on 14 targets in seven games (two starts). Darren Waller is an elite tight end in the league and is obviously the Raiders starter at the position, so Hollister will be competing with Foster Moreau for No. 2 tight end duties. He will not be on the fantasy radar to begin the 2022 season.

Jacob Hollister Goes On COVID-19 List
3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars placed tight end Jacob Hollister, defensive tackle Jay Tufele and linebacker Damien Wilson on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. Fellow tight ends Luke Farrell and Chris Manhertz went on the COVID list on Monday, so James O'Shaughnessy is currently the only tight end left on the team's active roster. If none of Farrell, Manhertz or Hollister can clear the league's protocols before Sunday's game against the New England Patriots, expect Jacksonville to elevate tight end Matt Sokol from the practice squad. O'Shaughnessy has more appeal as a TE2 sleeper this week, but the Patriots have also allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to the position all season.
