1 year agoThe Chicago White Sox selected University of Mississippi shortstop Jacob Gonzalez with the 15th pick of the 2023 MLB Draft. Gonzalez was the national freshman of the year in 2021 and then led Ole Miss to a College World Series title in 2022. Mississippi fell off big this year, but Gonzalez improved his overall game, slashing .327/.435/.564 with 10 home runs. Over his impressive career, Gonzalez slashed .319/.427/.561 with 40 home runs and a 123/94 BB/K over 186 games.--Benjamin Chase
