Jacob deGrom To Start Saturday At Colorado
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom will start the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, following the postponement of Friday's game due to weather concerns. deGrom was originally scheduled to pitch on Thursday at home against the Philadelphia Phillies, but that game was also postponed due to inclement weather. deGrom will now be pitching on Saturday on a full week of rest. In his last start, deGrom went eight innings against the Marlins on Saturday, striking out 14 and allowing only one run on five hits. In his first 14 innings pitched in 2021, deGrom has posted a 0.64 ERA and a 0.71 WHIP to go with a 21:2 K:BB. deGrom remains a matchup-proof fantasy ace and should remain active in all formats when he's starting.
