Jacob deGrom Fails To Ease Worries In Return
6 years agoMaking his first start since going on the injured list with an elbow injury, New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom saw his struggles continue in another ugly performance. The reigning National League Cy Young winner lasted just five innings against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night, surrendering five runs on five hits. His third straight defeat saw his ERA climb to 4.85, the highest it has ever been after any start in his professional career. While an extended break between starts and a lengthy rain delay could've played factors in the performance, this is the third consecutive time deGrom has looked worrisome, this coming after two stellar starts to begin the year.
