Jacob deGrom Ends Season on Masterful Note
6 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom capped off one of the most impressive pitching campaigns in recent history on Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves. DeGrom threw eight shutout innings, allowing just two hits and zero walks to go along with 10 strikeouts. The Mets ace finished the season with 29 straight starts allowing three runs or less. DeGrom allowed more than three runs just once all year and will end his remarkable 2018 season with a 10-9 record and 1.70 ERA.
