Jacob deGrom Back In Form In No-Decision
6 years agoTaking on another ace in Max Scherzer, New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom allowed just one run during his start Wednesday night. It came via a first-inning home run, but aside from that, the reigning NL Cy Young winner was terrific. Going six innings, he allowed two hits in total, to go with three walks and eight strikeouts. This was a much-needed comeback for deGrom, who allowed seven runs in Miami his previous start. Ultimately, however, his May is looking spectacular, with four quality starts of two runs or less in five starts.
