Jackson Kowar Roughed Up In Season Finale
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jackson Kowar had yet another rough outing in the team's season finale against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. He pitched four innings and allowed five hits, one walk and five earned runs while striking out six. The 24-year-old had an extremely disappointing rookie season to say the least. Over nine games (eight starts), he went 0-6 with an 11.27 ERA, a 2.08 WHIP and an 18.8% strikeout rate. He entered the year as one of the team's top pitching prospects and the organization will surely give him a chance to bounce back next year. However, fantasy managers are going to be very hesitant to take a chance on him after such a horrendous rookie campaign.
