Jackson Kowar Gives Up Five Runs In Monday's Loss
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jackson Kowar struggled once again in his start against the Cleveland Indians on Monday. He pitched 4 1/3 innings and allowed seven hits, one walk and five earned runs while striking out four. He has now allowed at least five earned runs in four consecutive starts. The 24-year-old rookie has really struggled in his first taste of the majors this year. Over eight games (seven starts), he's gone 0-5 with an 11.28 ERA and a 2.16 WHIP. He's scheduled to make one more start this season against the Minnesota Twins in the team's final game of the year on Sunday.
