Jackson Jobe Rebounds In Second Start
18 seconds agoDetroit Tigers starting pitching prospect Jackson Jobe tossed three innings of one-run ball in his second spring training start on Sunday. He tallied three strikeouts and allowed two hits with no walks. This was a much-improved outing for Jobe as he served up two runs across his first two innings of spring training. The budding ace is considered one of the favorites to land a spot in the starting rotation out of camp. Last season, the 22-year-old made a brief MLB debut and tossed four shutout frames. He spent most of his season at the Double-A level where he held a stellar 1.95 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP across 73 2/3 innings. He tallied 81 punchouts but served up 38 walks. He was only given a nine-inning look at Triple-A before being promoted to the majors. If he continues to perform well in camp, fantasy managers should expect Jobe to begin the 2025 campaign with a job in the starting rotation.
