Jackson Jobe Completes His Rehab Assignment
5 months agoDetroit Tigers right-handed pitching prospect Jackson Jobe (hamstring) has been cleared from his rehab assignment and has been reinstated to Double-A Erie. Jobe had been out of action in the minors since early May with a left-hamstring strain before beginning a rehab assignment in the lower levels of the minors. The 21-year-old is the team's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and is their top pitching prospect. Before landing on the seven-day injured list, Jobe was looking electric at Erie, posting a nice 2.16 ERA while striking out 24 and walking 10 in 16 2/3 innings pitched. Jobe features a fastball-slider mix but also has added a cutter and has a changeup. He's one of the best minor-league pitching prospects around and should already be stashed in dynasty/keeper leagues. The Tigers probably want to see how Jobe fares at Triple-A Toledo before calling him up, which may not come until 2025.
