Jackson Jobe Throwing Live Bullpen Sessions
1 year agoDetroit Tigers pitching prospect Jackson Jobe (back) is throwing live bullpen sessions at the club's spring facility in Lakeland as he works his way back from lumbar-spine inflammation. Jobe was diagnosed with the ailment in mid-March that carried a three- to six-month timeline for a return to action. He appears right on track, as he is throwing to live hitters three months into that timeline while he looks to appear in his second professional season in 2023. The 2021 third overall pick pitched to a 3.84 ERA with 81 strikeouts and 30 walks across 77 1/3 innings spanning 21 outings between Single-A and High-A in his professional debut in the 2022 season. Known for his high spin rates, the Tigers took a below-slot gamble on Jobe in the 2021 MLB draft.
