Jackson Holliday Cranks First Triple-A Homer
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop prospect Jackson Holliday went 2-for-3 with two walks and hit his first home run for Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday. Holliday, 19, was the first overall pick in last years draft and has quickly risen through the Orioles system with an incredible start to his young career. On the season, Holliday has hit .324 with 11 homers, 69 RBI and 23 stolen bases between Single-A and Triple-A. His promotion to Triple-A on September 5 led to some speculation that he could be a late-season call-up, but that remains unlikely with him not on the 40-man roster. The good news is that Holliday has made a strong case to seriously be considered for next years big-league squad and he should remain a name to watch in redraft leagues next season. Those in dynasty leagues should be well aware of Holliday as he should be universally rostered as one of the top prospects in the league.
