Jack Leiter Throws Six Scoreless Innings For Frisco
2 years agoTexas Rangers pitching prospect Jack Leiter threw six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in a start for Double-A Frisco. The 24-year-old has struggled to start the season with a 5.19 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in his first six starts. This season continues the struggles from his 2022 season when he had a 5.54 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in 22 starts. Leiter must consistently repeat Friday's performance before he progresses past Double-A. The Vanderbilt product has struggled as a minor leaguer, but his college experience will allow him to reach the majors soon if he manages to put it all together. This performance offers hope for those in dynasty leagues, but he's not worth a look in all other formats.
