Jack Leiter On Strong Run At Triple-A
4 months agoTexas Rangers starting pitching prospect Jack Leiter has performed quite well in his past four outings and could be approaching a return to the major leagues. In this span, the former number two overall pick has logged a 1.89 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 9:27 BB:K ratio. Before this stretch, the right-hander allowed 10 earned runs in his previous two starts. The Vanderbilt product made his major league debut earlier this season and struggled across his first nine ⅓ innings, where he posted a 16.39 ERA and 2.57 WHIP. While consistency has always been a problem for the 24-year-old, he may have taken the next step in his development and remains a name to keep a close eye on.
