Jack Flaherty Posts Quality Start, Strikes Out Four
5 months agoDetroit Tigers right-hander Jack Flaherty earned a win with a quality start Thursday afternoon, going six innings and surrendering one run on two hits with four strikeouts against the Cleveland Guardians. Flaherty had been out since June 27th with a lower back injury. The veteran right-hander is now 6-5 on the season with a 3.13 ERA, .98 WHIP, and 119 strikeouts in 95 innings, Speculation is rampant that the Tigers may be looking to shop Flaherty ahead of the trade deadline at the end of this month. Flaherty could be the top starting pitcher available on the trade market.
