7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals rookie pitcher Jack Flaherty was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday to make room for Adam Wainwright (hamstring), who is coming off the disabled list. Flaherty was dominant in his start on Tuesday, allowing one run and striking out nine Milwaukee Brewers in five innings. The rookie will be back up as soon as he is needed in the rotation, but for now he'll head to Triple-A and pitch consistent innings on a routine. If you have the space in deeper leagues, Flaherty is worth stashing for his upside.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
