Jack Flaherty Being Moved To Bullpen
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles right-hander Jack Flaherty is being moved to the bullpen for at least the short term and he will be available in relief on Tuesday against the Houston Astros, according to manager Brandon Hyde. The skipper wouldn't rule out a potential return to the starting rotation for Flaherty down the road, possibly in the postseason. The former St. Louis Cardinals starter just hasn't been good in his seven starts for the O's after being acquired in a trade from St. Louis, as he's gone 1-3 in those seven starts while allowing 26 runs (25 earned) on 41 hits (seven homers) while walking 12 and striking out 38 in 31 2/3 innings. The 27-year-old will now lose what little fantasy value he had left to close out 2023.
