Jace Fry Lands On IL With Back Spasms
4 years agoChicago White Sox left-handed pitcher Jace Fry was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Saturday’s contest against Kansas City due to back spasms. The club added righty Alex McRae to the active roster in place of Fry. Over the past three seasons, Fry has established himself as a vital cog in the White Sox bullpen, owning a 3.65 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 12 ⅓ frames this season. While he hasn’t earned a save since 2018, Fry is a solid contributor of strikeouts and holds for those in extremely deep leagues. The absence of Fry leaves Ross Detwiler, Gio Gonzalez, and Bernardo Flores Jr. as Chicago's left-handed options out of relief.
