Jaccob Slavin Remains Out Sunday
2 years agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin (lower body) will miss a fourth consecutive game Sunday versus Boston. Following Saturday's practice, Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour noted that Slavin "skated well", but it looks like he still needs to put in some more work before he is game-ready again. Slavin has notched 15 points in 45 games this season with 74 shots on goal, 27 hits and 72 blocks. He's been a major piece of the defensive corps, averaging 22:26 of ice time, but the team has to do without him for a bit longer. Dylan Coghlan has come into the team in Slavin's absence, while Jalen Chatfield has moved up in the lineup to partner Brent Burns on the first defensive pairing.
