Ja Morant Has 36 Points In Losing Effort
4 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant killed it with 36 points against Utah Wednesday night, but his efforts weren't enough in a 111-107 loss. He finished with 11-for-18 shooting from the field and went 12-for-15 at the charity stripe, adding seven assists, three steals and two rebounds with five turnovers in 36 minutes. Morant, who shot 2-for-4 from deep on Wednesday, posted four 30-point performances in March and ended up averaging 21.2 points per game for the month. He has almost a perfect matchup to start April off on the right foot as Memphis gets ready to host Minnesota. The Kings and the Spurs are the only teams in the league that give up more points per 48 minutes to the point guard position than the T-Wolves.
