Ja Morant Continues Scoring Surge With 27-Point Effort
4 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant remained hot on Monday night, going for 27 points on 10-for-15 shooting in a 120-96 loss against Denver. Four of his misses came from downtown as he finished without a single made three-pointer. Morant went 7-for-9 at the charity stripe, adding six rebounds and six assists to his line with one steal and three turnovers. The rising superstar is averaging 29.2 points per game across his last five appearances, and the scoring streak should continue in Wednesday's favorable matchup against Portland. The Trail Blazers boast the second-least efficient defense in the league and Morant has already crushed it against them recently in a pair of games, finishing with 61 points on close to 60 percent shooting.
