J.T. Poston A High-Upside Play At Sony Open
3 days agoTo close out 2024, J.T. Poston finished strong with a win at The Shriners Children's Open and had a T5 at The RSM Classic, gaining strokes across all aspects of his game in both events. However, in his first start of 2025 at The Sentry, he struggled, finishing T40 while losing strokes in both putting and approach — key categories at this week's Sony Open in Waialae. Despite this, Poston has had impressive results at the Sony Open in recent years, with finishes of T42 in 2022, T21 in 2023, and sixth in 2024, gaining strokes in both putting and approach in two of those three tournaments. He has made the cut in five of his seven appearances at the event. Driving accuracy is also crucial at Waialae, and Poston excelled in that area last year, ranking 35th on tour while also posting an impressive 81.67% accuracy at The Sentry last week. Priced at $8,900, Poston's solid course history, strong driving accuracy, wedge play, and putting ability make him a strong addition to any fantasy lineup.
