J.P. Crawford Triples Twice Saturday
J.P. Crawford went 3-for-4 with two triples in Saturday's loss to the Astros. Crawford was once thought to be a up-and-coming steals source based on his early minor league career where he stole at least 12 bases in four consecutive seasons, but in 2017, Crawford stopped stealing bases and has only 17 total since then. Crawford also isn't a source of power or batting average and bats eighth for the Mariners. Though it's nice to see him use some of his speed, Crawford should be left on waivers for now.

J.P. Crawford Dealing With Shoulder Injury
J.P. Crawford (shoulder) was scratched from Wednesday's series finale against the visiting New York Yankees with shoulder tightness, according to manager Dan Wilson. Until we know more about the severity of Crawford's shoulder injury, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. The good news is that the M's have a scheduled day off on Thursday before starting a weekend series in San Diego on Friday against the Padres. You'll want to check back then to see if Crawford is feeling good enough to play. If Crawford needs to go on the injured list, Seattle would most likely mix and match at shortstop with Leo Rivas and Miles Mastrobuoni. The 30-year-old's counting stats leave a lot to be desired, but he's hitting a respectable .271 (38-for-140).

J.P. Crawford Scratched From Wednesday's Lineup
J.P. Crawford (undisclosed) has been scratched from the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the visiting New York Yankees at T-Mobile Park, according to Seattle Sports' Shannon Drayer. It's unclear why exactly Crawford is being scratched, but Drayer notes that he looked fine in the clubhouse and was seen playing catch early. Leo Rivas is drawing into the starting lineup at shortstop and will hit ninth against Yankees right-hander Will Warren. Miles Mastrobuoni is also hitting out of the leadoff spot. Fantasy managers need to pull Crawford from their starting lineups on Wednesday and check back for an update on a possible injury or illness that he may be dealing with. The 30-year-old Crawford has hit a solid .271 in 140 at-bats this year but with just three homers, 18 RBI, 18 runs and two steals.

J.P. Crawford Hits Leadoff Homer In Win
J.P. Crawford went 1-for-5 with a home run in his team's 2-1 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday. Crawford's lone hit at the dish came in the top of the first inning to lead off the game, a 100.3 MPH blast he pulled to the corner of right field, but that wasn't the only hard-hit ball he'd register. The former first-round pick collected two more batted balls in excess of 97.8 MPH, though they ended in a lineout and groundout. He's been great from the leadoff spot for the Mariners, batting .287 (29-for-101) with a .410 OBP, three home runs, and 17 RBI to match his run total. The lefty has raised his walk rate to a robust 16.8% after sitting at 11.5% in 2024 and holds the highest xBA of his nine-year career (.271).

J.P. Crawford Hitting Leadoff Against Angels
J.P. Crawford is hitting in the leadoff spot for Wednesday's series finale against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels and left-hander Tyler Anderson at T-Mobile Park. Crawford has made it all the way up to leadoff this week after hitting in the nine-hole in his first 26 starts of 2025. The Mariners moved him up to sixth the previous two games. The 30-year-old veteran has earned the move up the batting order, as he carries an eight-game hitting streak into Wednesday's finale against the Halos. During the streak, he's gone 12-for-29 with two home runs, eight RBI, seven runs scored and five walks to raise his season line to .279/.415/.372 in 108 plate appearances. It remains to be seen how long Crawford will get run in the top spot, but it will make him more attractive in DFS on Wednesday, even against a lefty. He's hit .273 with two RBI in 11 career at-bats against Anderson.
