J.P. Crawford Hits Big Triple In Loss
6 years agoStarting at shortstop once again, Philadelphia Phillies infielder J.P. Crawford managed just one hit in three plate appearances, but it was a major one. In the fifth inning, with the Phillies trailing four runs to none, the 23-year-old stepped up with the bases loaded and drilled a three-run triple, pulling the club to within a run. While they would eventually tie the game, the bullpen would blow it for yet another heart-wrenching defeat. Crawford has been much better at the plate this month as he earns more playing time. In September, he's hitting .462 with four RBI and three runs scored.
