J.J. Yeley Has Opportunity For Strong Run At Bristol Dirt
2 years agoIt has been ten years since J.J. Yeley has posted a top 10 finish in the NASCAR Cup Series, but he may have a chance to break that streak this weekend in the Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. On Saturday, Yeley started 9th and finished 3rd in his Heat Race, and because of that effort, he will start Sunday night's race from the 3rd position. Bristol Dirt is one race that Yeley has circled on his calendar, too. When asked about it after his Heat Race, he stated, "Last year, we had a really fast race car and got caught up in someone's wreck with about 30 to go and felt like we had a top 10 car then. We have more resources here at Rick Ware Racing than we did last year." Yeley is definitely someone to keep an eye on in this race, as he has an extensive dirt racing resume, but his equipment in this race will likely be a hindrance.
