J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Released By The Falcons
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside was released by the team on Tuesday as they cut their roster down to 53 players. Infamously drafted before D.K. Metcalf, Diontae Johnson, and Terry McLaurin in the 2019 NFL Draft, Arcega-Whiteside was a highly productive receiver at Stanford but never found solid footing at that position in the pros. He's since transitioned to tight end but wasn't able to make the Falcons' final 53. There's a good chance another team will take a chance on him but his days in the NFL appear to be numbered.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Inks Deal With Falcons
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside has agreed to sign with the Atlanta Falcons. Arcega-Whiteside tried out for the team last week, so he evidently did well enough to get the opportunity. The former second-round pick transitioned to tight end last offseason before joining the Seattle Seahawks, but ultimately did not play a snap for the team. It's unclear whether he will play wideout or tight end this offseason, but the team's official site listed him as a wide receiver. The 26-year-old only has 16 receptions for 190 yards and one touchdown after four years in the league, so there's a low chance he's on the fantasy radar even if he does make the team's 53-man roster.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Trying Out For Falcons
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside is reportedly trying out for the Atlanta Falcons. The 26-year-old is a former second round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles from the 2019 draft. He put together three lackluster seasons at wideout before converting to tight end last season. He was traded to the Seattle Seahawks, but was cut by the organization in late August. He didn't end up playing anywhere last season, but he's still young enough to get his career back on track. It remains to be seen if the Falcons will sign Arcega-Whiteside, but regardless he's unlikely to have fantasy value.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Cut By Seahawks
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and wide receiver Freddie Swain, quarterback Jacob Eason, running back Darwin Thompson, cornerback Justin Coleman and safety Marquise Blair on Tuesday. Arcega-Whiteside was acquired in a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles during training camp, but he obviously didn't do enough to impress the team. The 25-year-old made a brief switch to tight end before converting back to wide receiver. The former second-rounder has been a huge bust in his three seasons in the NFL with Philly, catching 16 of 35 targets for 290 yards and only one touchdown in 40 games (seven starts).

Seahawks Acquire J.J. Arcega-Whiteside From Eagles
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside from the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday in exchange for defensive back Ugo Amadi, according to a source. Arcega-Whiteside will get a fresh start in Seattle after catching only 16 passes on 35 targets for 290 yards and one touchdown in his three seasons in Philadelphia after he was a second-round selection in 2019. Amadi will give the Philadelphia secondary some experience after playing in 47 games (12 starts) over three seasons in Seattle. Arcega-Whiteside has been attempting to transition from receiver to tight end, but it remains to be seen if the Seahawks view him as more of a tight end or wide receiver. Either way, fantasy managers can continue to ignore him.
